Hearthwell: Farm Town

A Review of the Role Playing Game Supplement Hearthwell: Farm Town

Hearthwell: Farm Town by Cool Nerd Mark is a generic role playing game supplement published by Cool Nerd Adventures.

Hearthwell: Farm TownThe supplement is available as a four page Pay What You Want PDF from DriveThruRPG. One page is the front cover. There is also a jpg map of the town.

Appendix E: Heartwell starts with some basic details on the town, its location between Nova Glen and Port Corvus and some details on the government.

Locations in Hearthwell gives some details on a dozen locations in town, though in two cases this just refers to their full description in Bread Dog.

The final page of content is a colour map of the town.

The PDF lacks bookmarks and is short enough that these aren’t needed. Navigation is okay. The text maintains a two-column format and appeared to be free of errors. There is a single colour map of the town. Presentation is okay.

The supplement is the setting for the adventures Rats on the Farm and Bread Dog. The latter adventure is available separately and in the supplement Strange Tales from Small Towns, and the content from this supplement is taken from that last. Though the adventures are written for Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition, this supplement is generic.

This location is part of the setting of Corvindor, but it should be easy enough to use elsewhere, should that setting not be used, and even a briefly described town is useful for a setting. Hearthwell: Farm Town can be found by clicking here.
