Corvindor: The River Republic by Cool Nerd Mark is a generic role playing game supplement published by Cool Nerd Adventures.
The supplement is available as a six page Pay What You Want PDF from DriveThruRPG. About half a page is the credits. There is also a jpg map of Corvindor.
The front cover is actually a map of Corvindor, the same one from the jpg and the only one in the actual PDF.
Corvindor: The River Republic explains that the adventures from the publisher – which, though this supplement is generic, are written for Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition – can be set in any place that has a port city with a few nearby towns. For those that lack such, there is this simple setting. This section also covers the geography, government and trade of the republic.
Settlements gives brief overviews of various settlements on the map, including the port city. It also gives brief overviews of two geographic features.
Corvindor: The River Republic in Review
The PDF lacks bookmarks and, though short, these would have been useful. There is also a single external link to Port Corvis itself. Navigation is okay. The text maintains a single column format and appeared to be free of errors. As well as the map, there are a couple of other illustrations, black and white and colour. Presentation is okay.
This is a small area that could be dropped into a number of settings without too much trouble, as much of it is fairly self-contained. There are also some other supplements that can be used to expand the area, as well as the stated adventures. Though there isn’t a huge amount of content in either this or the other supplements, there’s enough to make this a useful little area that can be expanded on.
