Nova Glen: Village of New Beginnings by Cool Nerd Mark is a role playing game supplement published by Cool Nerd Adventures for use with Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition.
The supplement is available as a 14 page Pay What You want PDF from DriveThruRPG. One page is the front cover and about one and a third the Credits. There are also two jpg maps.
Welcome to Nova Glen! gives some details on the town and its history, as well as its role in the growth of Corvindor thanks to the mines. It also explains that NPCs are given their alignment, gender, species and a link to a 5E stat block, and that other relevant supplements from the setting are included in footnotes where appropriate.
Following this is a map of Nova Glen, after which various locations are detailed. There are eleven on this map, and the direction of the twelfth is marked. Each location is named and given a description, as well as notable NPCs, and available services, as well as costs, are described where appropriate. The twelfth location has its own map, which has five different sublocations marked on it, each of which is described similarly to the primary eleven, along with some expansion plans.
Nova Glen: Village of New Beginnings in Review
The PDF is bookmarked with the various sections and subsections linked. There are also external links to stat blocks. Navigation is good. The text maintains a single column format and appeared to be free of errors, bar a formatting one. As well as the maps, there are a number of colour and black and white illustrations. Presentation is good.
Though this is described as being a supplement for 5E, the only real 5E crunch is the alignment, gender, species and stat block link; changing it to another system, especially a D&D-derived one, will be easy enough.
This supplement is part of the Corvindor mini-setting, and there are references to setting details as well as other supplements for the setting, linking it to other locations and adventures.
