Stonehollow: Mountain Town by Cool Nerd Mark is a role playing game supplement published by Cool Nerd Adventures for use with Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition.
The supplement is available as a 15 page Pay What You Want PDF from DriveThruRPG. One page is the front cover and around half the Credits. There is also a jpg map of the town.
Welcome to Stonehollow! gives an overview on the town’s location in relation to other places in Corvindor, with a map of the region.
History covers the history of the dwarven founded settlement through wars with giants up until the current situation that has it as part of Corvindor with many humans.
Locations has a map of Stonehollow followed by descriptions of fourteen locations. Each location is given a name and some details on it, including some brief details on important NPCs, if relevant, with external links to relevant stat blocks. A sidebar explains that the first six locations were previously covered in Strange Tales from Small Towns, but have been updated for this supplement with the current descriptions being the most up to date.
Adventures in Stonehollow has various adventure hooks for the town, including reference to an existing adventure (which is also mentioned in the single footnote) and future ones being worked on.
Stonehollow: Mountain Town in Review
The PDF is bookmarked with the major sections and subsections linked. Navigation is decent. The text maintains a single column format and appeared to be free of errors. As well as the colour maps there are some other colour and black and white illustrations. Presentation is good.
Though this is written for D&D 5E and Corvindor, it wouldn’t be too hard to use with other systems or settings. The only real 5E stats are the external links to standard stat blocks, which will be easy enough to replace, and though the town itself is linked to Corvindor, it’s also reasonably self-contained, allowing it to be dropped into other settings.
