Scratch Builder Monthly June 2023 is a supplement written and published by MJ Hobby Corner for use with making cheap models, primarily for tabletop wargaming.
The supplement is available as a 54-page PDF from DriveThruRPG for $2.99. One page is the front cover, one the Contents and one is the credits.
The Introduction looks at what the series itself is for and what specifically might be seen in this issue.
Playing Solo RPG looks at solo playing and the use of oracles.
Making Figure Bases looks at using re-usable moulding mediums, in particular Oyumaru, to create moulds for making bases, bits for conversions and other things.
On the Sculpting Bench looks at modifying an older hand-made figure to make a new one.
Home Brew Armies looks at Anthems of War and has some stats for custom armies.
Second Mycoid Warrior covers the sculpting process of a second warrior.
Projects of the Month: Space Station & Navy Ships starts by covering the process of making a space station, primarily from single corrugated cardboard, complete with templates for cutting out the parts. Next is a simple flat world with continents, also made primarily with card.
Playing War-Fleets FTL With Scratch Builds has a game played using the space station.
Building Foam Navy Ships covers the process of making a sea plane tender, with foam as the main part, again with some templates. A World War I-inspired aircraft carrier is also built, though there are no templates. A variety of different ships are then shown, and the advantages of foam over clay.
Adding Mist Effects to Our Games looks at using a cheap mist maker when gaming; though not mentioned, it’s worth noting that paper/card terrain and water-based mist don’t always mix well, and it’s worth sealing everything after painting.
The Star Ship Creator has some in-progress and finished images of a space ship and future plans.
Visiting the Fey Realm has a preview for the July issue.
Model Showcase has some examples of builds and that Star Wars builds should re-start in August.

Scratch Builder Monthly June 2023 in Review
The PDF lacks bookmarks and is long enough with enough different sections that these would have been useful. The table of contents covers the major sections. Navigation is okay. The text maintains a single column format and a variety of minor errors were noticed. There are a variety of photographs of tools, materials and projects in various stages of construction as well as finished. Presentation is good.
This has the usual combination of projects covered in enough detail that they can be easily duplicated and those which are mostly useful for inspiration, though with some RPG articles and battle reports thrown in. The supplement is useful for making good enough terrain and miniatures using primarily cheap materials, though polymer clays can be more expensive.
