People, Plots and Places of the Wild West: Poker Tournament by Nathanael Christen is a role playing game supplement published by Pinnacle Entertainment via the Savage Worlds Adventurer’s Guild for use with Savage Worlds.
The supplement is available as a six-page PDF from DriveThruRPG for $0.50 but was purchased at a reduced price as part of a bundle.
The introductory paragraph explains that poker tournaments are part of frontier folklore and that this tournament is designed to draw many players and is written for Novice heroes; it can be used to assemble a group.
The Introduction has several ways to involve the characters and that even building up the required stake can require adventures.
Scene 1 – All Aboard! has the characters boarding the riverboat that is hosting the tournament and that People, Plots and Places of the Wild West: Riverboat can be used as a plan for it.
Scene 2 – The Opening Round has the tournament starting with some rules for determining winners of rounds, as well as some events.
Scene 3 – An Interlude has a number of incidents that can happen.
Scene 4 – The Final Round is the last round of the game.
Scene 5 – Endgame has more incidents, assuming that the GM doesn’t end things at the tournament’s conclusion.
Epilogue wraps things up and has further adventure hooks.
Appendix 1: Announcement has a flyer for the tournament.
Appendix 2: NPCs has stats and descriptions for the major NPCs as well as stats for various common ones. There are also some suggestions for balancing things.
Appendix 3: Tracking Winners and Losers has a table that can be used for this.

The PDF lacks bookmarks and, though short, has enough sections that these would have been useful. Navigation is okay. The text is primarily two column format and appeared to be free of errors. There are no illustrations. Presentation is okay.
This is a simple enough adventure, though there are a variety of potential dangers that the characters could encounter; they may also end up winning a decent amount of money, which could affect later adventures.
