Scratch Builder Monthly November 2025 Issue is a supplement written and published by MJ Hobby Corner for use with making cheap models, primarily for tabletop wargaming.
The supplement is available as a 61-page PDF from Wargame Vault for $3. One page is the front cover, one the Table of Contents and two the Credits and Links.
The Introduction explains that this issue has some handcrafted creatures and also explores the use of coffee grounds mixes.
“I Need a Cave Scene, Quick”! covers the process of making cave terrain quickly and cheaply.
Adding Texture to Folding Rivers looks at using flocking and adding texture to rivers made from a recycled plastic bag.
Texturing Tombs looks at adding some basing material to some coffins.
Making Creepy Crawlers looks at various methods of making monsters.
Some Thoughts is some general ideas on making the monsters.
The Giant Worm is the project of the month and makes a purple worm erupting from the ground from scratch, using cheap materials and including painting and the base.
Monster 2 Sea Serpent makes a sea serpent from primarily plastic snakes and a lizardman head, including a water effect base.
Other Projects briefly mentions how two other monsters were made.

Scratch Builder Monthly November 2025 Issue in Review
The PDF lacks bookmarks and is long enough with enough different sections that these would have been useful. The Table of Contents covers the major sections. Navigation is okay. The text maintains a single column format and some minor errors were noticed. There are a variety of photos of tools, materials and the various stages of projects from started to finished. Presentation is good.
The primary focus of this issue is the monsters, which have ways of adapting existing, cheap, toys into monsters, and constructing them from scratch with a cheap armature and other cheap or free materials. The cave and river scenery is naturally useable in a range of genres, and the monsters could be used in other genres than fantasy.
