Hostility by Joseph Mohr is a role playing game supplement published by Old School Role Playing for use with Cepheus Engine. As such, it is covered by the Open Game License and some parts are considered to be Open Game Content as a result.
The supplement is available as a 29 page Pay What You Want PDF from DriveThruRPG. Two pages are the front and rear covers, three the front matter and three the Open Game License.
The opening paragraphs explain that there’s a dead world on the edge of the Sonora sector – the adventure is set in the Frontiers of Space – that was wiped out by an unknown plague that left few survivors, most part of an apocalyptic cult. A scientist was sent to the world to get a sample of the disease in order to get a cure, but as he’s gone missing, the characters are hired to find him.

Hostility in Review
The PDF lacks bookmarks and is long enough with enough different sections that these would have been useful. Navigation is okay. The text maintains a single column format and some minor errors were noticed. Bar the maps and covers, there are no illustrations. Presentation is okay.
As is common, there are more NPC stat blocks than needed, as most could be done with 2-3 blocks. The adventure is potentially dangerous, as there’s a chance that the characters will catch the disease, though this isn’t as bad as it could be. The employer is also keeping secrets that really should be uncovered, lest there be longer-term problems. Hostility can be found by clicking here.
