The Sorcerer's Feast (Elemental Edition)

Free Role Playing Game Supplement Review: The Sorcerer’s Feast (Elemental Edition)

The Sorcerer’s Feast (Elemental Edition) by Michael Prescott is a role playing game supplement published by Gildor Games for use with Elemental. This adventure is adapted from the original in Trilemma Adventures Compendium Volume 1 and appears to be a combination of CC-BY-NC 3.0 for the Elemental adaptation and CC-BY-NC 4.0 for the original.

The supplement is available for free from DriveThruRPG as a four-page PDF and a second, 13-page PDF.

The Sorcerer's Feast (Elemental Edition)The first PDF is the adventure location itself, the secluded forest home of a now-dead sorcerer, semi-automated in nature. The first page is an isometric map of the location with points of interest marked on it.

The second page covers the house’s automatons, several relics that can be found, visions to see in one of the rooms and d6 tables of room encounters and boar magic (wild boars have eaten spellbooks and they can trigger magical effects as a result).

The third page is the Elemental adaption and has Elemental stats for the various creatures, one of the relics, with the others stated as being either clearly described in the text or more narrative in nature, and a new spell.

The final page is an unlabelled player map of the location.

The second PDF has six pre-generated Elemental characters, with stats and descriptions.

The Sorcerer’s Feast (Elemental Edition) in Review

The adventure location PDF lacks bookmarks and is short enough that it doesn’t need them. The pre-generated characters PDF has each character linked. Navigation is good. The text roughly maintains a four-column landscape format and appeared to be free of errors. The main illustration is the rather nice black and white map that was drawn for the original adventure; there is also a piece of filler and portraits for the pre-gens. Presentation is decent.

This adventure is exactly what it sets out to be; a system-neutral adventure location from the original Trilemma Adventures that has been converted to another system. What this means is that there is an additional piece of content to support the Elemental system that is free to use, one of a number. It’s a short adventure, being a location more than anything else, but it should be fine for a session’s play. The Sorcerer’s Feast (Elemental Edition) is a decent little adventure and it can be downloaded for free by clicking here.
