The Tillvayle Committee

A Review of the Role Playing Game Supplement The Tillvayle Committee

The Tillvayle Committee by Yvris Burke is a role playing game supplement published by Button Kin Games for use with Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition. This is an adventure for 3-4 characters of levels 7-9.

The supplement is available as a six-page PDF from DriveThruRPG for $2, though it was purchased at a reduced price as part of a special bundle. There is a second, four-page accessible PDF that lacks images.

The Tillvayle CommitteeThe first page has the characters arrive at Tillvayle Village, where at the first cottage they meet what is apparently an elderly woman. The woman, who is not what she seems, is described; she’s the co-founder of the Tillvayle Committee for the Preservation of Tillvayle, which seeks to make the village a pleasant place to live. Some porcelain minions are statted.

On the Common has the characters encounter someone grazing their goats on the common, which is against the current rules. There is also a map of the village.

The Tillvayle Committee for the Preservation of Tillvayle describes the other two co-founders of the committee, and their secrets.

Tillvayle describes the inn, various NPCs, a couple who have died and some spare names for other NPCs.

The Tillvayle Committee in Review

The PDF lacks bookmarks and is short enough that these aren’t needed. Navigation is okay. The text maintains a two-column format and appeared to be free of errors. As well as the map, there are a number of blue and white porcelain-style illustrations. Presentation is okay.

The premise of the adventure is interesting. Three powerful, but getting on in years, monsters decide to retire and take over a village. Not because they have any ulterior motives; they just want a nice place to live. However, their nature does mean some of their actions are a bit draconian. To deal with the problem, the characters need to identify who the monsters are, and most likely kill them. Though, perhaps, they might be able to behave in a more tolerant manner. The Tillvayle Committee is an interesting adventure and it can be found by clicking here.
