Teind of Alfheim - A Mörk Borg Adventure & Bestiary

A Review of the Role Playing Game Supplement Teind of Alfheim – A Mörk Borg Adventure & Bestiary

Teind of Alfheim – A Mörk Borg Adventure & Bestiary is a role playing game supplement written and published by Reverend Uncle Bastard for use with Mörk Borg. The supplement is stated as being loosely based on the folklore of North Yorkshire and is an adventure location with new monsters.

Teind of Alfheim - A Mörk Borg Adventure & BestiaryThe supplement is available from DriveThruRPG as an eight page Pay What You Want PDF. One page is the front cover and one is back matter.

The first page of content has a map of the entire dungeon, with some fluff about how the Fae Queen pats a teind, a tariff to the nameless one, of one human soul.

The five remaining pages each cover a specific location on the map. Each has fluff text, stats for new monsters and other material, including tables.

The PDF lacks bookmarks and is short enough that they are not needed. Navigation is okay. The text doesn’t follow a strict format; it’s sort of one column, but the column is in different places, though not as irrationally as the Mörk Borg rulebook, and it appeared to be free of errors. There are a number of colour images, all public domain, but manipulated to match the subject matter, as well as a map from Dyson Logos coloured to match the rest of the supplement. Presentation is fine, though printing it out would be appalling.

Thematically in layout and design this is similar to the Mörk Borg book, though nowhere near as difficult to read or headache-inducing. Also similar to the core book is that there truthfully isn’t much in the way of written content. It does have monsters, six in total, and tables that could be used elsewhere, making it more than just an adventure. Teind of Alfheim – A Mörk Borg Adventure & Bestiary is an interesting enough collection of Mörk Borg material wrapped up in an adventure and it can be found by clicking here.
