Relics of Myth - Greek

A Review of the Role Playing Game Supplement Relics of Myth – Greek

Relics of Myth – Greek by David Humphries is a role playing game supplement published by Son of Oak Game Studio through the City of Mist Garage Community Content Programme for use with City of Mist.

The supplement is available as a four page Pay What You Want PDF from DriveThruRPG. One page is the front cover and front matter.

The supplement describes six items inspired by Greek myth as Relics for City of Mist. Each of the six items is described with its myth, along with its mystery, power tags, weakness tags and theme improvement.

Relics of Myth - GreekThe Belt of Heart’s Desire reduces emotional statuses taken by two tiers and can enthral people.

The Messenger’s Mail Bag can make a message already be delivered through a Flashback.

The Mystic Skeleton Keys allow a password to be given that allows a lock that was secured with the keys to be opened with it.

The Dragon Tooth Necklace summons warriors to protect you.

The Guitar of Groovy Melodies can animate and control a stone object.

The Impenetrable Lion Pelt Shearling Jacket can ignore tags that would reduce your defence.

The PDF lacks bookmarks and is short enough that they are not needed. Navigation is okay. The text maintains a two-column format and appeared to be free of errors. Each item has a piece of appropriate stock art. There is a problem with the colour choices, though. The text is black on primarily purple. Though the pale purple isn’t a problem, the dark purple makes it difficult to extremely difficult to read the text, especially on smaller devices.

Apart from the presentation problems, the supplement does exactly what it says. It has six Relics that all take inspiration from Greek myth that have a variety of different in-game uses. The Guitar of Groovy Melodies does stand out a bit, though; the name hardly seems to fit with the tone of the others. Relics of Myth – Greek is a decent little Relic collection that can be found by clicking here.
