A Review of the Role Playing Game Supplement Gregorius21778: Star-Jump Through Bloodspace

Gregorius21778: Star-Jump Through Bloodspace is a role playing game supplement written and published by Kai Pütz a.k.a Gregorius21778 for use with Solar Blades & Cosmic Spells. As such it is covered by the Open Game License and some parts are considered to be Open Game Content as a result.

The supplement is available as an eight page Pay What You Want PDF from DriveThruRPG. One page is the front cover, half a page the front matter and one the Open Game License.

Gregorius21778: Star-Jump Through BloodspaceThe opening paragraphs explain that this is a Halloween supplement and it covers jump travel that has either gone wrong or been initiated through the sacrifice of a sentient life. This gives an alternative to regular jump travel without using Stardust.

What is Bloodspace? explains that this is an alternate space that can be entered, though it is not a pleasant place.

How to Enter Bloodspace? explains that this can be done through a star jump complication or can be entered willingly, through a ritual. Blood Jump is an optional power for doing this.

This is followed by a d10 table of visions for Bloodspace and a d20 list of dangers to encounter.

Blood Tells and Marks can have an effect in the d20 list of dangers and for Corruption results; each is a d10 table.

Blood-Men and Haemogoblins are two new monsters.

The PDF lacks bookmarks and, though short, these would have been appreciated. Navigation could be better. The text maintains a two-column format and appeared to be free of errors. There are a few pieces of stock art. Presentation is decent.

SB&CS has sectors, which are the areas that make up the setting’s universe. This adds something new as a way to expand the setting; not sectors but a different space, which is a nice idea. Especially as this could be one of many different spaces. Gregorius21778: Star-Jump Through Bloodspace is a wonderful little supplement for SB&CS and can be found by clicking here.
