A Review of the Role Playing Game Supplement Gregorius21778: Pages Torn from Manuscripts

Gregorius21778: Pages Torn from Manuscripts is a role playing game supplement written and published by Kai Pütz a.k.a Gregorius21778. This supplement is compatible with Mörk Borg.

The supplement is available as a seven page Pay What You Want PDF from DriveThruRPG. One page is the front cover and half a page is the front matter.

The opening paragraphs explain that is a collection of material for Mörk Borg derived from material released for other systems, with a list as to what these were.

Gregorius21778: Pages Torn from ManuscriptsRandom Ingredients for Spells, Potions and Rituals is a three column d20 table that can be used to generate these. One column has the item, which are body parts and similar, the second what creature it came from and the third where to perform the ritual or harvest the ingredient. Each column has a roll again entry.

From the Maw Came… is a list of 20 different ideas for breath weapons with Mörk Borg stats.

Malignant Phenomena is another d20 list. The results are described as for when an Arcane Catastrophe would be a bit much and have 20 bad results. Most, but not quite all, are not as bad as said catastrophes.

Fox-Imps are a new creature that looks like a cross between a two-year-old and a fox, and are said to steal babies and turn them into more of their kind. Normally, they just harass people, but if one is killed, they will try to steal the young of the killer.

The PDF lacks bookmarks and they are not needed, though might have been useful. Navigation is okay. The text maintains a two-column format and appeared to be free of errors. There are a few stock images. Presentation is okay.

This is a decent little collection of material that has been adapted to Mörk Borg, though the ingredient table can be used with pretty much any dark fantasy system, and is thematically appropriate. The breath weapons cover a range from dangerous to disgusting and can liven up a creature. The phenomena cover a range of problematic things that could happen. The curse of the fox-imps, though, is perhaps less likely to bother characters. Gregorius21778: Pages Torn from Manuscripts is a nice little collection of material and it can be found by clicking here.
