Book of Multifarious Munitions: Vehicles of War (PFRPG)

A Review of the Role Playing Game Supplement Book of Multifarious Munitions: Vehicles of War (PFRPG)

Book of Multifarious Munitions: Vehicles of War (PFRPG) by Dale C McCoy Jr is a role playing game supplement published by Jon Brazer Enterprises for use with the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game. As such, it is covered by the Open Game License and some parts are considered to be Open Game Content as a result.

The supplement is available as a 12-page PDF from DriveThruRPG for $2.95 although it was purchased at a reduced price as part of a special bundle. Two pages are the front and rear covers, one page is the front matter and Open Game License and one pages is the Table of Contents and Introduction.

Book of Multifarious Munitions: Vehicles of War (PFRPG)The Introduction states that a major problem the author had with D&D 3.5 is that it lacked much in the way of vehicles, and the release of Ultimate Combat for Pathfinder means this can be remedied. Much of the vehicles in that supplement were standard and this supplement intends to add some that are not.

The remainder of the supplement is taken up by vehicles, twenty in all, the first of which sounds rather like a hoverboard from Back to the Future. There are siege towers, clockwork tanks, land barges, sky dreadnaughts and other flying craft and a couple of undead vehicles, a bone skiff and a zombie bone chariot. Kobolds get a vicious alchemical fire projector, aptly named the kobold flame dragon. Each follows the standard vehicle format.

The PDF is well bookmarked with all the vehicles linked. The Table of Contents is to a similar level of depth. Navigation is very good. The text maintains a two-column format and appeared to be free of errors. There are a number of colour illustrations, which appear to be custom. Presentation is very good.

This is a collection of rather imaginative vehicles; air, water and ground. It’s just a shame there isn’t a subterranean vehicle as well, but that’s a minor gripe. They range from one person vehicles upwards and range from specialised to more general uses. Book of Multifarious Munitions: Vehicles of War (PFRPG) is a lovely collection of vehicles for Pathfinder and it can be found by clicking here.
