A Review of the Role Playing Game Supplement 20 Things #62: Sunken Ship (System Neutral Edition)

20 Things #62: Sunken Ship (System Neutral Edition) by Mike Welham is a generic role playing game supplement published by Raging Swan Press. The supplement is covered by the Open Game License and some parts are considered to be Open Game Content as a result.

20 Things #62: Sunken Ship (System Neutral Edition)The supplement is available as an 11-page PDF for $3.75 from DriveThruRPG but was purchased at a reduced price thanks to a special offer. The supplement comes in three versions, two PDFs, one designed for print and high-end devices, the other for mobile and low-end devices, and a plaintext file. Two pages of the PDF are the front and rear covers, two pages are ads, one page is the front matter and Contents and one the Open Game License.

1: 20 Things Around the Wreck has things that are not in the wreck itself but could be found around it.

2: 20 Major Wreck Features has 20 major ways of dressing the wreck.

3: 20 Minor Wreck Features is similar but smaller pieces of dressing.

4: 20 Pieces of Treasure has 20 things of value to find, though no values are given.

5: 2 Ghostly Hauntings has two ghosts to encounter. Each has a way of detecting them, a name, alignment, species, sex, class and level, as they had in life, appearance, personality, mannerisms and how they might be laid to rest.

20 Things #62: Sunken Ship (System Neutral Edition) in Review

The PDF is bookmarked with major and minor sections linked. The Contents is to a similar level of depth and is hyperlinked. Navigation is good. The text maintains a two-column format and appeared to be free of errors. There are several pieces of black and white stock art. Presentation is okay.

Though many supplements in the 20 Things series lack many d20 tables, this is unusual in that every table is a d20 table; only the ghosts are not. The tables provide plenty of details for dressing a sunken ship. Though generic, it’s definitely aimed at D&D and derived games, but it shouldn’t be too difficult to use with most fantasy systems. 20 Things #62: Sunken Ship (System Neutral Edition) is a useful little supplement and it can be found by clicking here.
