#1 With a Bullet Point: 5 Fireball Feats (Full Clip!)

A Review of the Role Playing Game Supplement #1 With a Bullet Point: 5 Fireball Feats (Full Clip!)

#1 With a Bullet Point: 5 Fireball Feats (Full Clip!) by Owen K.C. Stephens is a role playing game supplement published by Rogue Genius Games (originally Super Genius Games) for use with the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game. As such, it is covered by the Open Game License and some parts are considered to be Open Game Content as a result.

The supplement is available as a four-page PDF from DriveThruRPG for $1 but was purchased at a reduced price as part of a bundle. One page is the Open Game License and credits.

The first page has some standard text for the #1 With a Bullet Point range explaining the philosophy and what the supplements contain.

#1 With a Bullet Point: 5 Fireball Feats (Full Clip!)Environmental Effects affects fireballs and other evocation (fire) spells that have a defined area. The changes are divided into dirt/earth/stone, which creates noxious gasses, ice/water, which creates superheated steam and douses fire, affecting even those of the fire type, metal, which superheats metal and causes less initial damage but lingering heat damage and wood/plants, which creates a dazzling effect from burning material.

Cometstrike changes the fireball into a streaking comet of fire that burns everything in its path.

Fiery Wrath affects fireballs and other evocation (fire) spells that have a defined area. A fire elemental can direct the flames of the spell and can be healed by it.

Implosion affects fireballs and other evocation (fire) spells that have a defined area. It causes the fireball to burn away the air, creating an implosion that can drag creatures.

Shockwave can channel some of the energy of a fireball into a shockwave that can knock creatures flying. This kind of feels similar to Implosion; both channel some of their energy into knocking creatures down.

The PDF lacks bookmarks and at this length doesn’t need them. Navigation is fine. The text maintains the old three-column landscape format used by Super Genius Games and appeared to be free of errors. There are a couple of pieces of colour stock art. Presentation is okay.

Fireball is one of the most iconic spells around, for D&D and related games. It’s often one of the causes first seriously damaging spells a mage-type can cast, and one that players look forward to getting. These feats are therefore for a rather common combat spell and so are more useful than some. They alter the spell in generally interesting ways, apart from the similarities between the last two, and a lover of fireballs will likely find at least one they want to get. #1 With a Bullet Point: 5 Fireball Feats (Full Clip!) is a decent collection of feats and it can be found by clicking here.
