#1 With a Bullet Point: 5 Abilities for Dragonhide Armor

A Review of the Role Playing Game Supplement #1 With a Bullet Point: 5 Abilities for Dragonhide Armor

#1 With a Bullet Point: 5 Abilities for Dragonhide Armor by Owen K.C. Stephens is a role playing game supplement published by Rogue Genius Games (originally Super Genius Games) for use with the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game. As such it is covered by the Open Game License and some parts are considered to be Open Game Content as a result.

The supplement is available as a four-page PDF from DriveThruRPG for $1 but was purchased at a reduced price as part of a special bundle. One page is the front cover and one the Open Game License and Credits.

#1 With a Bullet Point: 5 Abilities for Dragonhide ArmorThe first page has some standard text for the #1 With a Bullet Point range explaining the philosophy and what the supplements contain.

The High Concept is a brief paragraph on what the supplement contains.

Each of the five abilities has a description of what it does with the requirements for manufacture.

Discharging is a helm that does a breath weapon attack once per day.

Fearful armour maintains some of a dragon’s fear aura.

Rending allows a rend attack when the same target is hit with two or more melee attacks in the same round.

Whiptail armour has a tail that adds an attack of opportunity and bonuses to different skills.

Winged is, naturally, winged and allows flight as per overland flight.

The PDF lacks bookmarks and with only one true page of content doesn’t need them. Navigation is fine. The text maintains the old three-column landscape format used by Super Genius Games and appeared to be free of errors. There is a single piece of stock art inside and one on the cover. Presentation is okay.

As with other entries in this series – this was actually the first – it does what it says; provides some brief options for the game. The extra abilities are interesting ways of making dragonhide armour different. #1 With a Bullet Point: 5 Abilities for Dragonhide Armor is an inexpensive little supplement and it can be found by clicking here.
