Urban Dressing: Mining Town 2.0 (P1) by Josh Vogt is a role playing game supplement published by Raging Swan Press for use with the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game. As such, it is covered by the Open Game License and some parts are considered to be Open Game Content as a result.
The supplement is available as a 13-page PDF from DriveThruRPG for $3.75 but was purchased at a reduced price as part of a special bundle. Two pages are the front and rear covers, two are ads, one the front matter and Contents and one the Open Game License. The PDF comes in two versions, one intended for print and high-end devices, one intended for low-end and mobile.
Mining Town: Sights & Sounds has a d100 list of things that could be seen and heard.
Mining Town: Businesses is a d100 list with 50 results. Each has a name, type of business and a brief description. The businesses are generally related to mining.
Mining Town: Folk of Interest is a d100 list of NPCs with 50 results. Each has a name, alignment, sex, class, level and species, along with a brief description. These are generally related to mining as well.
Mining Town: Adventure Hooks is a d100 list with 20 adventure hooks.
Urban Dressing: Mining Town 2.0 (P1) in Review
The PDF is bookmarked with the various sections linked. The Contents is to a similar level of depth and is hyperlinked. Navigation is decent. The text maintains a two-column format and appeared to be free of errors. There are several of black and white illustrations. Presentation is decent.
Like the other entries in the 2.0 series of Urban Dressing, this has nothing new for owners of the original supplement or the GM’s Miscellany: Urban Dressing II compilation. For those that have either of those, this supplement isn’t worth getting, but for those that don’t, it is useful for fleshing out a mining-related town or district.
