Rods of Wonder by Creighton Broadhurst is a role playing game supplement published by Raging Swan Press for use with the Pathfinder Role Playing Game. As such, it is covered by the Open Game License and some parts are considered to be Open Game Content as a result.
The supplement is available from DriveThruRPG as a 14-page PDF for $1.99 but was purchased at a reduced price as part of a special bundle. Two pages are the front and rear covers, four are the front matter, Contents and Open Game License and one is an ad. The PDF comes in two versions, one intended for print and high-end devices, one intended for low-end and mobile.
Rods of Wonder has a description of these items (which in earlier games were called wands of wonder), identification, activation & use, construction and destruction.
Variant Rods of Wonder has aligned rods, cursed rods and lesser rods.
Rod of Wonder has a d100 table with 22 results and two stat blocks for summoned creatures.
Rod of Marvels has another rod with a different d100 table with 22 results and two stat blocks.
Rod of Wonderment has a third variation, once more with a d100 table with 22 results and two stat blocks.
Reading Stat Blocks is a standard page for the publisher explaining how to use these.
Rods of Wonder in Review
The PDF is bookmarked with everything except sidebars linked. The Contents only covers the main sections and is hyperlinked. Navigation is good. The text maintains a two-column format and appeared to be free of errors. There is a single black and white stock illustration. Presentation is okay.
This supplement functions as a useful resource for a single magic item, though in this case one with several variants. It also has some additional options for the item. Though not spectacular, and perhaps more could have been done, it is a decent supplement. Rods of Wonder can be found by clicking here.
