Recall Knowledge: Dragons by Paul Fields and Jim Milligan is a role playing game supplement published by Evil Robot Games for use with Pathfinder 2. As such, it is covered by the Open Game License and some parts are considered to be Open Game Content as a result.
The supplement is available as a nine-page PDF from DriveThruRPG for $1.99 but was purchased at a reduced price as part of a special bundle. One page is the front cover, half the front matter and one the Open Game License.
A Word From The Team explains that with the change in Second Edition to a degree of success system, when it came to checks for Recall Knowledge and Monster Identification, plausible misinformation needed to be made up as well.
Using this Product explains that when characters use a skill check to identify a monster, the tables should be used to determine what’s learned, with an explanation of the accuracy levels.
The first three tables have DCs by level, DC adjustments and which skill to use by monster trait.
Recall Knowledge – Dragons has two tables, one of true knowledge and one of erroneous or incorrect, for chromatic and metallic dragons. There is are two general tables for these, followed by two for every dragon type. Young, adult and ancient dragons for each type have details listed that are used to help determine the results.
Recall Knowledge: Dragons in Review
The PDF lacks bookmarks and, though short, has enough sections that they would have been appreciated. Navigation is okay. The text maintains a two-column format and appeared to be free of errors. There are a couple of stock colour images. Presentation is decent.
This is an interesting idea for a supplement for any game which uses skill checks a lot to gain information about creatures; not every game will do so, but for those that do, this is a good way of having characters attempt to learn information and sometimes recalling something that is not true as a result.
