Oracle’s Curse by RJ Grady is a role playing game supplement published by Wandering Star LLC for use with the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game. As such, it is covered by the Open Game License and some parts are considered to be Open Game Content as a result.
The supplement is available as a 10-page PDF from DriveThruRPG for $2 but was purchased at a reduced price as part of a special bundle. Two pages are the front and rear covers, one the front matter and just over one the Open Game License.
The Introduction explains that these are new options for the oracle’s curse class feature and a note on the terminology used.
New Oracle’s Curses are the new options, each given a name, description and effect. There are twenty-two new curses: aged, branded, catatonic, child, chilled, choleric, feral, foretold, forsaken, frenetic, friendless, infested, melancholy, merciful, odious, phlegmatic, ravenous, sanguine, sedentary, unchained, walking dreamer and wan.
New Creatures has the rot grub swarm, which is related to the hazard but a creature instead.
Oracle’s Curse in Review
The PDF lacks bookmarks and is long enough with enough different sections that these would have been useful. Worse, the text appears to be all embedded images, making it impossible to search. Navigation is poor. The text maintains a two-column format in these images and appeared to be free of errors. Bar the cover, there is a single piece of black and white stock. Presentation is okay.
This does add a whole range of options to replace the existing curses with, which is useful, though the GM should carefully check them over to make sure they are suitable before using. Oracle’s Curse can be found by clicking here.
