Frontiers of Space: Library Data

A Review of the Role Playing Game Supplement Frontiers of Space: Library Data

Frontiers of Space: Library Data by Joseph Mohr is a role playing game supplement published by Old School Role Playing for use with Cepheus Engine. As such, it is covered by the Open Game License and some parts are considered to be Open Game Content as a result.

Frontiers of Space: Library DataThe supplement is available as a 20 page Pay What You Want PDF from DriveThruRPG. Two pages are the front and rear covers, three the front matter and three the Open Game License.

The opening paragraph explains that the supplement is intended to provide information relevant to the Frontiers of Space setting. The rest of the supplement then provides information on various topics related to the Sonora Sector setting. This includes details on some planets and interstellar polities, wars and battles, companies, alien species, historical topics, activities and some creatures.

Frontiers of Space: Library Data in Review

The PDF lacks bookmarks and with all the different sections these would have been appreciated. Navigation could be better. The text maintains a two-column format and some minor errors were noticed. Bar the covers, there are no illustrations. Presentation is adequate.

Although this is listed as a Cepheus Engine supplement, there are no stats making it more broadly useful. Its primary use is as a sourcebook for information about the Sonora Sector that can be used with some of the other supplements in the setting, especially the main one.
