Yin Yang Panda – Spider Kingdoms by Łukasz Kołodziej is a free role playing game supplement published by Skavenloft. This is a supplement for Yin Yang Panda, which is based on Lasers & Feelings and is covered by the CC BY 4.0 license.
The supplement is available as a 12-page PDF for free from DriveThruRPG. Two pages are the front and rear covers, one the front matter and one the Table of Contents.
The standard Introduction explains that this is a splatbook for Yin Yang Panda with information on a new region.
How to Use This is another standard section that explains what’s needed to use this book.
We Have Guests! has six elements for incorporating elements of the Spider Kingdoms into the Dragonfly Empire.
We Are Guests! is similar, but used to incorporate elements of the Dragonfly Empire in the Spider Kingdoms.
The Spider Kingdoms gives a basic overview of the region.
Landscapes has details on the terrain of the region.
Culture gives an overview of the culture of the land.
Martial Arts explains that the Spider Kingdoms believe that body and mind should be developed in harmony.
Playing Aids has d12 tables of names, surnames and treats to try, d6 tables of places to visit, folks to meet, folks to avoid and weapons to master.
Finally, there are four new martial arts laid out in the standard way. These are crocodile, dolphin, elephant and rhino.
Yin Yang Panda – Spider Kingdoms in Review
The PDF lacks bookmarks and, though short, these would have been appreciated. The Table of Contents covers the major sections. Navigation is okay. The text maintains a single column format and appeared to be free of errors. There are a couple of colour and black and white illustrations. Presentation is okay.
As is typical for the regional splatbooks, this supplement gives an overview of the area in question, adding enough details to use it, but given this is a rules-lite game not going into great depth. There are again some new player options. Yin Yang Panda – Spider Kingdoms is a decent little supplement for the game and it can be found by clicking here.
