Martial Arts explains that these are treated the same way as any other skills, with true mastery being the most valuable achievement but also an obligation to live a life of honour. Martial arts are strongly linked to the weapons, and there are two main classes of fighter, the samurai and the shinobi.
Playing Aids has d12 tables of names and surnames, d6 tables of places to visit, folks to meet and folks to avoid, d12 treats to try and d6 weapons to master.
Finally, there are six new martial arts, following the standard style: bear, cat, dog, rabbit, toad and turtle.
Yin Yang Panda – Beetle Islands in Review
The PDF lacks bookmarks and though short these would have been appreciated. Navigation could be better. The text maintains a single column format and appeared to be free of errors. There are a couple of illustrations, black and white and colour. Presentation is okay.
This is a standard splatbook for the game, providing some brief setting details, giving new flavour, as well as some new character options, and is another useful little supplement for expanding the setting. Yin Yang Panda – Beetle Islands can be downloaded for free by clicking here.
