Free Role Playing Game Supplement Review: The Miscellaneous Anniversary Edition aka All About Everything Else

The Miscellaneous Anniversary Edition aka All About Everything Else by John Josten is a generic role playing game supplement published by Board Enterprises. The supplement is part of the Small Bites series and is the ‘World Walker’ version; the full version is available to Patreon supporters and is more than double the length.

The supplement is available for free from DriveThruRPG as a 29-page PDF. One page is the front cover and the final three pages explain what’s included in the full version and give various links.

The first page is the Introduction and Table of Contents. The Introduction explains that this supplement contains information that wasn’t included in previous editions, and the attempt to make an appendix supplement available to Patreons though a password didn’t work.

The Miscellaneous Anniversary Edition aka All About Everything ElseThe Fletnern Wiki contains a series of entries from the wiki, all related to material in the previous editions. The entries contain information on sites, individuals, businesses, military actions, families, legends, cities and oceans.

Crowding the Pantheon is on Fantasy Entertainment and how Forsbury includes some outside gods in its society.

The PDF is well bookmarked with major and minor sections linked. The Table of Contents is not as thorough but is hyperlinked. There are also a number of external hyperlinks to related supplements and wiki entries. Navigation is very good. The text maintains a two-column black and white format and appeared to be nearly free of errors. There are a number of pieces of black and white stock and public domain art. Presentation is okay.

The Small Bites series tends to be a collection of roughly related articles, rather than a coherent whole. In this edition, the articles are not even connected, as can be expected from the title. They cover a whole range of different subjects that have already been covered in more depth. Consequently, this edition is even more all over the place than usual with regards to content, but it is supposed to be that way. This entry in the series is, as usual, an interesting collection of articles, but it is even more eclectic than normal.
