Lair of the Yeti Queen by Josiah Rise is a role playing game supplement published by Rise Press for use with Daggerheart.
The supplement is available for free as a six-page PDF from DriveThruRPG. One page is the front cover and one the legal info. There are also two zips. One has five jpg maps, 1K and 4K versions of the raiders and caves maps and a fifth labelled map of the caves. The other has five adversary stat blocks in png format.
Intro explains this is a tier 2 adventure that can be run as a one-shot or inserted into a world. It also gives a rundown on the three parts. Raiders in the Night has the characters in a town when it’s raided by yeti.
Lair of the Yeti Queen maps and describes the dungeon, a series of caves, with the treasure, major loot and descriptions of the major foes to encounter as well.
Adversary Stat Blocks has the enemy stats, which are those that are duplicated in the pngs.
Lair of the Yeti Queen in Review
The PDF lacks bookmarks and is short enough that these aren’t needed. Navigation is okay. The text maintains a two-column format and appeared to be free of error, though the three parts are given part numbers in the Intro but not elsewhere. Apart from the cover, the only illustrations are the colour maps. Presentation is okay.
The adventure should be fairly easy to drop into a setting; all that’s really needed is a town or village in a cold region. However, this will probably make the raiders map invalid, if it’s being used with an already existing settlement. The adventure itself is pretty straightforward, which isn’t the same as safe.
