Edelweiss – Not All Those Who Wander Are Lost by Łukasz Kołodziej is a free role playing game supplement published by Skavenloft for use with Edelweiss. The supplement is covered by the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 Unported license.
The supplement is available as a 13-page PDF for free from DriveThruRPG. Two pages are the front and rear covers, two the front matter and one the Table of Content.
The Introduction explains that this has extra rules and ideas for use with Edelweiss and you should pick whatever you want to add to your game.
Wandering starts by explaining that moving around is the most common activity, and it can be divided into two types. Travelling is when characters are trying to reach a certain place, and there are suggestions as to where to be heading for, options for getting lost and where to get lost. Wandering is moving around for the sake of moving, with options as to where to wander and what to find. Exploration is partway between these and cartography is making a map of an aera with landmarks to note.
Wanderers has a new ancestry trait, fairy, a new lifepath trait, guide, a new gear trait, stashed, and new advanced traits for guides and fairies. Details are given on all of these.
Edelweiss – Not All Those Who Wander Are Lost in Review
The PDF lacks bookmarks and has enough different sections that they would have been useful. The Table of Content covers the various sections and is hyperlinked. Navigation is okay. The text maintains a two-column format and appeared to be almost free of errors. There are a variety of public domain colour illustrations, up to full page in size. Presentation is okay.
As stated, this is new options for the game, and it’s easy enough to pick and choose which ones to actually use; everything bar fairy and guide can be taken on its own and those two just need the relevant advanced trait as well. Edelweiss – Not All Those Who Wander Are Lost is a useful little expansion for the game and it can be downloaded for free by clicking here.
