Can’t Sleep – Clowns Will Eat Me (Elemental Edition) by Stephanie Bryant is a role playing game supplement published by Gildor Games for use with Elemental. This adventure is adapted from the original system-neutral version and is and is CC-BY-NC 4.0.

The supplement is available for free from DriveThruRPG as a four-page PDF and a second, 13-page PDF.

The first PDF is the location itself, which is a town whose residents haven’t slept since the circus came to town, and are suffering as a result. Those who stay more than three days will also be affected by a monster that arrived with the circus.

The first two pages have a black and white map of the town with descriptions of various important locations and NPCs, both in the town and in the circus itself, as well as a description of the monster.

The third page has Elemental conversions for everything that needs stats or rules.

The fourth page has an unlabelled map of the town together with some pieces of black and white art.

The second PDF has six pre-generated Elemental characters, which are from a selection of characters that are used in these adventures.

Can’t Sleep – Clowns Will Eat Me (Elemental Edition) in Review

The primary PDF lacks bookmarks and, given its length, doesn’t need them. The secondary PDF has the characters linked. Navigation is good. The text maintains a four-column landscape format and appeared to be free of errors. There are a number of black and white illustrations, which may all be custom, and the map. Presentation is good.

This is one in a series that takes a non-commercial adventure, adds Elemental stats to it then gives it away for free to support the system, which is a useful way of generating content and support. This adventure is suited for a fantasy setting and should be easy enough to drop in, being a self-contained adventure, and one in which the characters will need to work out just what’s behind the strange behaviour of the NPCs.
