Wisdom from the Wastelands Issue #19: Robots Part 4 is a role playing game supplement published by Skirmisher Publishing for use with the Mutant Future system. As such, it is covered by the Open Game License though no parts are considered to be Open Game Content as a result. The Wisdom from the Wastelands series introduces new options for Mutant Future and this one has some new options for robots.
The supplement is available as a seven-page PDF on DriveThruRPG for $0.99 but was purchased at a reduced price as part of a special bundle. One page is the Open Game License and front matter and one is ads.
The opening paragraph explains that in this instalment there are new forms of locomotion, weapons, accessories and additional rules, some of which were listed in previous issues.
How Technology Condition Affects Robots has levels for the technology conditions in the core book to affect robots.
Alternate Energy Sources has five alternative methods of power – one of which is a furnace, for a wood-burning robot (admittedly, it burns anything).
Remora are small robots that attach themselves to larger robots and draw from their power, providing benefits in exchange for power.
Nano Enhancements allow armour and computer enhancement for a cost.
New Locomotion has two new forms of locomotion, magnetic and wormhole.
New Manipulator has the tractor beam.
New Accessories has sixteen new (or newish) accessories for robots.
New Weapons has seventeen new weapons.
Wisdom from the Wastelands Issue #19: Robots Part 4 in Review
The PDF is bookmarked with major sections linked. There is a short table of contents that is hyperlinked. Given the length, navigation is decent. The text maintains a two-column format and appeared to be almost free of errors. There are some stock tweaked colour images. Presentation is okay.
This is different from the previous three issues in that it doesn’t have new robots, only new options for such; the remora aren’t treated like a normal robot. This means that any robot can have a great deal more customisation done to it. The benefit of including information from previous issues is that the material that isn’t new robots is all in the same place, but this does mean material is duplicated, making the supplement less valuable. Wisdom from the Wastelands Issue #19: Robots Part 4 has a useful collection of new options and it can be found by clicking here.
