Wisdom from the Wastelands Issue #18: Robots Part 3 is a role playing game supplement published by Skirmisher Publishing for use with the Mutant Future system. As such, it is covered by the Open Game License though no parts are considered to be Open Game Content as a result. The Wisdom from the Wastelands series introduces new options for Mutant Future and this one has some new robots.
The supplement is available as a seven-page PDF on DriveThruRPG for $0.99 but was purchased at a reduced price as part of a special bundle. One page is the Open Game License and front matter and one is ads.
The opening paragraph explains that robots are just as important as biological in the game and that this is the third of four robot issues and presents eleven new robots as well as weapons and accessories. These are types of robots, not specific models, just like the core book.
The pithing unit lobotomises humans and turns them into a robotic slave, a rather nasty and difficult to resist process.
The powerbot is a mobile power supply that has a tendency to electrocute things when bored.
The ranchbot can create creatures through a variety of methods.
The shatterbot is a large bot made of smaller ones that is used to destroy infrastructure.
The slave taker is the result of some computers deciding humanity should not be allowed freedom.
Testbots were designed to test items to destruction and explore other planar realms.
The training robot is a series of bots designed to teach skills, with the skills taught depending on the robot.
The transporter converts people and materials to energy, stores them and then transports them to a location where they are restored.
The thief is designed to transport people or objects.
The unreality robot can change the laws of physics.
The vacationing home is a robotic home that can travel around.
New Accessories has six new accessories.
New Weapons has two new weapons.
Wisdom from the Wastelands Issue #18: Robots Part 3 in Review
The PDF is bookmarked with major sections linked. There is a short table of contents that is hyperlinked. Given the length, navigation is decent. The text maintains a two-column format and appeared to be almost free of errors. There are some stock tweaked colour images. Presentation is okay.
Like the previous issues in the series, this has more robots and more options for robots, and the options can be used to customise any robot. This does expand on the various robots and options in the core book and like the previous issues these robots are again more specialised, with again some better described as autonomous devices than robots. The pithing unit is downright nasty. Wisdom from the Wastelands Issue #18: Robots Part 3 adds yet more robot options and it can be found by clicking here.
