Wilderness Dressing: Travellers by Greg Marks is a role playing game supplement published by Raging Swan Press for use with the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game. As such, it is covered by the Open Game License and some parts are considered to be Open Game Content as a result.
The supplement is available as a 14-page PDF from DriveThruRPG for $3.75 but was purchased at a reduced price as part of a special bundle. Two pages are the front and rear covers, four the front matter, Contents and Foreword and one is the Open Game License. The PDF comes in two versions, one designed for print and high-end devices, the other for mobile and low-end devices.
Table A: Peddlers, Merchants & Traders starts with a brief paragraph on why adventurers might attract such types (they are fantastically wealthy compared to the average). This is followed by a d100 list with 25 results. Each result has a name, alignment, sex, species, class and level, followed by some fluff describing the NPC.
Table B: Bard, Minstrels & Troubadours again starts with a couple of sentences on them saying they are common sights on the road, before having another d100 lost laid out identically to the first.
Table C: Mercenaries, Sellswords & Freebooters again has a couple of sentences explaining how the characters might meek such, before once again having a table laid out in the same manner.
Wilderness Dressing: Travellers in Review
The PDF is bookmarked with major and minor sections linked. The Contents is to a similar level of depth and is hyperlinked. Navigation is good. The text maintains a two-column format and appeared to be free of errors. There are a couple of pieces of stock art, one full page in size. Presentation is decent.
This is a useful supplement for various common types of people that could be met on the road. Or anywhere else, for that matter; there’s no reason they have to be travelling when encountered. Wilderness Dressing: Travellers is a nice little supplement and it can be found by clicking here.
