Wilderness Dressing: Primal Forest (P1) Remastered by Mike Welham is a role playing game supplement published by Raging Swan Press for use with the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game. As such, it is covered by the Open Game License and some parts are considered to be Open Game Content as a result.
The supplement is available as a 15-page PDF from DriveThruRPG for $3.75 but was purchased at a reduced price as part of a special bundle. Two pages are the front and rear covers, two are ads, one the front matter and Contents and one is the Open Game License. The PDF comes in two versions, one designed for print and high-end devices, the other for mobile and low-end devices.
It starts with a brief paragraph on primal forests.
Minor Primal Forest Events is a d100 table of minor events for a journey.
Primal Forest Dressing is a d100 table of dressings.
Uneventful Day’s Travel is a d100 list with 20 results of basically non-events.
Campsites is a d100 list with 20 results with places to camp.
Random Primal Forest Encounters is a d12 list of encounters.
Wilderness Dressing: Primal Forest (P1) Remastered in Review
The PDF is well bookmarked with major and minor sections linked. The Contents only covers the major sections, but is hyperlinked. Navigation is good. The text maintains a two-column format and appeared to be free of errors. There are a few black and white illustrations, up to full page in size. Presentation is okay.
The differences between this and the original supplement are the addition of the Uneventful Day’s Travel and Campsites tables. There are a few Pathfinder stats outside the Random Primal Forest Encounters table – which should not be used randomly, given that the chances of encountering a couple of giant spiders are the same as those of encountering a couple of treants – added as footnotes to the first two tables, meaning that a lot of the supplement is effectively system neutral.
