A Review of the Role Playing Game Supplement We Are What We Are

We Are What We Are by Kai Pütz a.k.a Gregorius21778 and Samwise7 a.k.a Tim Harper is a role playing game supplement published by Kai Pütz a.k.a Gregorius21778 for use with MÖRK BORG. The supplement has two new classes for MÖRK BORG.

The supplement is available as a four page Pay What You Want PDF from DriveThruRPG. One page is the front cover and one the front matter.

Each of the two classes takes up a single page. The Sin-Eater is a class that devours the dead. They are malformed but can eat any organic matter without problem. Possible abilities are acquiring memories and abilities from the dead they eat, strong limbs, sharp teeth, the ability to spit stomach acid, advantages against the undead and gaining the power of a random scroll.

The Parasite Skeleton is a mind trapped in a skeleton’s body, but the skeleton may take over a host’s body by ripping out the host-to-be’s skeleton then slipping in the wound.

Each class has starting omens, items, silver and HP that classes do, though different for each. The Sin-Eater also has a table for prior life and the Parasite Skeleton has some unusual items as well.

We Are What We Are in Review

The PDF lacks bookmarks but is short enough that they are not needed. The text maintains a two-column format, in different colours, fonts and sizes, and appeared to be free of error. There are a couple of pieces of stock art. Presentation is okay. The design style emulates MÖRK BORG’s to a degree; fortunately, however, it doesn’t stray into the digital illegibility of the system book, with the possible, and unimportant, exception of the front matter. Even though the fonts do change in colour, type and size, they are still readable.
