Urban Locale #22: Rubbish Dump by Christopher Broadhurst is a generic role playing game supplement published by Raging Swan Press.
The supplement is available as a 7-page PDF for $1.75 from DriveThruRPG but was purchased at a reduced price thanks to a special offer. The supplement comes in two versions, a plaintext file and a PDF. Two pages of the PDF are the front and rear covers, two pages are ads and about half a page is the front matter and Contents.
Using this Urban Locale is a standard piece explaining how to use the lists and what each list covers. This is followed by a brief paragraph on rubbish dumps, then the d10 lists.
1: The Rubbish Dump has ten names for dumps, with brief descriptions as to what makes them unique.
2: Major Locale Features has the more important features of the dump.
3: Minor Locale Features are minor items of dressing.
4: What’s Going On has what is happening.
5: Other Folk has ten briefly described NPCs, with names, alignment, species and sex.
6: What’s Lying About has things that could be found at the dump.
Urban Locale #22: Rubbish Dump in Review
The PDF is bookmarked with the various sections linked. The Contents is to a similar level of depth and is hyperlinked. Navigation is good. The text maintains a two-column format and appeared to be free of errors. There are no illustrations. Presentation is adequate.
Like other entries in this series, this is a set of tables designed to quickly create an urban location quickly, in this case a dump. Not every dump from the first table can be used with every city, but this is to be expected, and the subsidiary tables, which are appropriately thematic for the supplement, will work with the different kinds of dumps. Using the supplement, a GM can quickly create a reasonably fleshed out city location quickly, including on the fly if needed. Urban Locale #22: Rubbish Dump can be found by clicking here.
