Urban Dressing: Trade Town 2.0 (P1) by Josh Vogt is a role playing game supplement published by Raging Swan Press for use with the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game. As such, it is covered by the Open Game License and some parts are considered to be Open Game Content as a result.
The supplement is available as a 13-page PDF from DriveThruRPG for $3.75 but was purchased at a reduced price as part of a special bundle. Two pages are the front and rear covers, two are ads, one the front matter and Contents and one the Open Game License. The PDF comes in two versions, one intended for print and high-end devices, one intended for low-end and mobile.
Trade Town: Sights & Sounds is a d100 list of things to see in the town.
Trade Town: Businesses is a d100 list with 50 results of appropriate businesses to see. Each is given a name, business type and a brief description.
Trade Town: Folk of Interest is a d100 list of NPCs with 50 results. Each NPC is given a name, alignment, sex, species, class and level as well as a brief description.
Trade Town: Adventure Hooks is a d100 list with 20 results of possible adventure hooks.
Urban Dressing: Trade Town 2.0 (P1) in Review
The PDF is bookmarked with the major sections and subsections linked. The Contents is to a similar level of depth and is hyperlinked. Navigation is good. The text maintains a two-column format and appeared to be free of errors. There is a single black and white illustration. Presentation is okay.
As with other entries in the 2.0 line of Urban Dressing supplements, this only has real changes to format; owners of the previous version or the GM’s Miscellany: Urban Dressing II compilation will find nothing new. For those that don’t own it, this is a thematic collection of things for a trade-focused town, the merchants’ quarter of a larger town or even to flesh out other locations with more merchant-oriented dressing. Large parts are essentially system neutral as well and even those that are not are most easily converted to similar systems, and to others with slightly more work, making this more generically useful. Urban Dressing: Trade Town 2.0 (P1) is a useful collection for those that lack the originals and it can be found by clicking here.
