Urban Dressing: Marsh Town by Josh Vogt is a role playing game supplement published by Raging Swan Press for use with the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game. As such, it is covered by the Open Game License and some parts are considered to be Open Game Content as a result.
The supplement is available as a 13-page PDF from DriveThruRPG for $3.75 but was purchased at a reduced price as part of a special bundle. Two pages are the front and rear covers, one the front matter and Contents, two pages are ads and one is the Open Game License. The PDF comes in two versions, one designed for print and high-end devices, the other for mobile and low-end devices.
Marsh Town: Sights and Sounds starts with a brief paragraph on this before continuing with a d100 table of things that can be encountered in the town.
Marsh Town: Businesses again starts with a brief paragraph. This is followed by a d100 table with 50 results. Each gives the business name, the type of business it is and a brief description as to what it does. These businesses have a definite feel that they would be found in this kind of settlement.
Marsh Town: Folk of Interest once again starts with a brief paragraph and this again has a d100 list with 50 results. Each result gives an NPC’s name, plus alignment, species, sex, class and level and a brief description.
Marsh Town: Hooks, Complications & Opportunities starts with a brief paragraph again before moving on to a d20 table of rumours and adventure hooks.
Urban Dressing: Marsh Town in Review
The PDF is bookmarked with the various sections linked. The Contents is to a similar level of depth. Navigation is decent. The text maintains a two-column format and appeared to be free of errors. There are several pieces of black and white stock art. Presentation is okay.
This is a nice little supplement in the range and the different tables do feel appropriate for the setting. They can also be used with many other systems, being by and large system neutral. Urban Dressing: Marsh Town is a decent supplement and it can be found by clicking here.
