Torg Eternity – Death of the Mystery Men by Darrell Hayhurst is a role playing game supplement published by Ulisses Spiele for use with Torg Eternity and it is set in the Nile Empire.
The supplement is available as a 23 page Pay What You Want PDF from DriveThruRPG. One page is the front cover and one the front matter.
The opening paragraph explains that this was written for GenCon 2018, that it determines the fate of the Mystery Men and whether they still remain a factor or are eliminated for new heroes and that this is a Beta Clearance adventure.
The Plot Synopsis explains that Doctor Mobius has started targeting the Mystery Men to eliminate them and has already captured some.
Scene One: On the Trail has the characters dispatched to examine a stela at a dig site near Alexandria.
Scene Two: Wadi El Natrun has the characters travelling to a lab where the stela has been taken.
Scene Three: Tombspace has them enter a pocket dimension where Mobius is keeping the Mystery Men.
Threats has the foes the characters will face.
Adventure Results is a single page where the GM can note down what happened.
The Appendix has pre-generated two-page character sheets for six of the new generation of Mystery Men.
Torg Eternity – Death of the Mystery Men in Review
The PDF is bookmarked with major sections linked. Navigation is okay. The text maintains a two-column format and appeared to be free of errors. There are a number of colour illustrations which look like they have been reused, as well as a map. Presentation is decent.
This adventure is dangerous; the threats the characters can face have a good chance of significantly injuring them if they aren’t careful. It also provides some background information about some of the strange effects of the Nile Empire’s axiom wash, in particular the Egypt That Never Was, though the players may not uncover most of this. How it ends will also determine just what happens to many of the existing Mystery Men. Torg Eternity – Death of the Mystery Men is a decent little adventure and it can be found by clicking here.
