A Review of the Role Playing Game Supplement Torg Eternity – Beta Clearance Player’s Primer

Torg Eternity – Beta Clearance Player’s Primer is a role playing game supplement published by Ulisses Spiele for use with Torg Eternity.

The supplement is available as an 11 page Pay What You Want PDF from DriveThruRPG. One page is the front cover and one the front matter.

The supplement starts by explaining that Delphi Council Clearance Levels aren’t related to security clearance or rank but on how difficult and dangerous they are. It then looks at the various levels, each with the requirements and benefits.

Alpha Clearance is the starting point for any reality-rated individual; no Ord, no matter how skilled, has this.

Beta Clearance have more experience and have access to Beta Clearance Perks and equipment.

Gamma Clearance again has more experience and characters may be able to get a known Eternity Shard.

Delta Clearance have access to Delta Perks, and the High Lords are considered to be Delta Level threats.

Omega Clearance is theoretical, have Omega Perks, no restriction to items and can jump to other places in the cosmverse where they don’t exist. A Torg may be this level and no known threats exist for this.

Following this are new Perks, with the majority being Beta Clearance.

Gear has some new requisition options; most are not actual gear. Blessed ammunition and stim shots are; air strikes and psychic readings are not.

Finally, Divisions looks at the different divisions of the Delphi Council, with brief descriptions of them, with a sidebar looking at an operation intended to infiltrate the enemy forces.

Torg Eternity – Beta Clearance Player’s Primer in Review

The PDF is bookmarked, but with only major sections linked. Navigation could be better. The text maintains a two-column format and appeared to be free of errors. There are some reused colour images. Presentation is okay.

This is essentially a companion to the Beta Clearance GM’s Primer, though it has more crunch than that supplement. This is intended to give some background on the Delphi Council that characters would know and provide new options for them as well.
