The Storm Knights’ Guide to Dragon Warriors by Jay Rutley is a role playing game supplement published by Ulisses Spiele through the Infiniverse Exchange Community Content Programme for use with Torg Eternity.
The supplement is available as a 30-page PDF from DriveThruRPG for $4.47 but was purchased at a reduced price during a sale. One page is the front cover, one the front matter and one an ad.
Dragon Warriors starts off by looking at Dwarven Magic, and how, distrusting the gods and not wanting to rely on the few dwarven magisters, the dwarves instead focused on such things as smithing and rune crafting for magic. With the rise of Uthorion, the first suit of Dragon Armour was forged.
The Order of the Dragon looks at how the dwarves dealt with threats and how Gertha Sharnhand, who created the first suit of Dragon Armour to fight Uthorion, formed an order of dwarves to wear the suits.
Dragon Warrior Armour looks at the armour itself and how it is made; however, it was never made in the quantities planned thanks to the dwarven holds in Aysle being destroyed.
Following this are new Perks. These are divided into Dwarf, Leadership, Outsider, Prowess, Quests and Social. Quests are from the Aysle Sourcebook and are special Perks where a character performs multiple tasks in order to gain a benefit.
Archetypes has new archetypes for dwarven characters. Each has a one-page description followed by a sample character sheet. The Anvil stands in front of those who need protecting, the Arbalest is a ranged fighter, the Runesmith is a Dragon Warrior who can augment their own armour, the Seeker of Adventure is an explorer of the Land Between, the Seeker of Hidden Ways is a guide and the Slayer fights above all else.
The Storm Knights’ Guide to Dragon Warriors in Review
The PDF lacks bookmarks and is long enough with enough different sections that these would have been very useful. Navigation is poor. The text maintains a two-column format and some minor errors were noticed. There are a number of colour illustrations. Presentation is decent.
This supplement provides a range of new options for dwarven Dragon Warriors in Torg Eternity, making them more flexible. Some of the options are available to others too. There are also some pieces of lore that can be followed or ignored if wished, though some is built into the Quests. The Storm Knights’ Guide to Dragon Warriors is a useful supplement and it can be found by clicking here.
