The Lurker of Leng by Jakob Schmidt, David Brockway and Daniel Brockway is a role playing game supplement published by Fire Lizard Games, LLC for use with Call of Cthulhu, specifically Delta Green.
The supplement is available as a 10 page Pay What You Want PDF from DriveThruRPG. One page is the front cover, one the front matter, one the Table of Contents and two are ads.
Briefing is the first section and this takes the form of a partially redacted report for Delta Green field agents about an encounter with a Lurker of Leng and the loss of a submarine. This could be given to players, if desired.
Lore of the Lurker gives some details on the creatures, which were created in Kadath by Nyarlathotep to annoy the other gods, especially Azathoth, but they were banished to the Plateau of Leng. One was summoned from Leng by the deep ones, not exactly successfully.
The next two pages are stats for the Lurker of Leng.
How to fit the Lurker of Leng into your game has suggestions if the back story from the Briefing is used, though this is not the only way, especially if playing Call of Cthulhu.
The Lurker of Leng in Review
The PDF lacks bookmarks and is short enough that these are not needed. The Table of Contents covers the major sections. Navigation is okay. The text maintains a single column format and appeared to be free of error. There are a couple of black and white images and one partial colour one, and some may be custom. Presentation is decent.
This is essentially a single monster supplement with some supporting material, primarily for use with Delta Green. To make best use of the supplement, with the Briefing being used as a way to, well, brief characters, would require it to be a comparatively modern setting, though it is possible to just use the stats. The Lurker of Leng is a decent single monster and it can be found by clicking here.
