Temple of the Ice God by Graham Bottley is a role playing game supplement published by Arion Games for use with Advanced Fighting Fantasy 2nd Edition.
The supplement is available as a nine-page PDF from DriveThruRPG for $3 but was purchased at a reduced price thanks to a special offer. There are also three PNG maps.
The adventure starts with some descriptive text about how the characters suddenly end up in snow when travelling. It’s stated that the adventure can take place almost anywhere on Titan – and, though not stated, elsewhere – when the characters are travelling, though it isn’t suitable for midwinter as the snow needs to suddenly and unexpectedly appear. It’s said to be suitable for starting Heroes or those with a few hundred XP.
The Village has some details on the village that’s been affected by the unseasonal snow. There are some things that the characters can discover which should easily lead them to decide that a nearby temple has something to do with the weather.
The Temple has some details on this, which has aboveground ruins as well as an underground complex where the characters can find out what happened to cause the sudden winter weather and fix it.
What Happened details this for the Director.
Temple of the Ice God in Review
The PDF lacks bookmarks and is short enough that they aren’t needed but would be appreciated. Navigation is okay. The text maintains a two-column format and some minor errors were noticed. As well as the maps, there are a number of colour illustrations of monsters. Presentation is decent.
This is a comparatively short, simple adventure that involves the characters going to an easily discovered ruin and exploring it to find and stop what caused winter. Those characters with better protections from cold will be served better than those who lack such. Temple of the Ice God is a decent little adventure and it can be found by clicking here.
