it ends with YOU is a role playing game written and published by Rue Dickey.
The supplement is available from itch.io for $5 but was purchased at a reduced price as part of a special bundle. The game comes in three versions; a 12-page paid out PDF, a three-page PDF without layout and a plaintext file. For the fully laid out version, one page is the front cover.
The first page is Acknowledgements and Safety. Safety explains that the game is being a monster in a world of monsters and humans and some prompts can mirror real world things.
Preparation & Play explains that this is a solo journalling game and the prompts can be answered in any suitable medium, in any order and with as much detail as wanted. It can also be used as a companion piece to Apocalypse Keys.
Introduction explains that you are a monster looked at from birth as being different to the humans. You don’t want to break the world, though, because you love it.
Begin has the prompts. These are a series of questions to answer, nineteen in total.
The final page is out essentially just a closing page.
it ends with YOU in Review
The PDF lacks bookmarks and given its nature doesn’t really need them. Navigation is okay. The text maintains a single column format and appeared to be free of errors. There is a single piece of page decoration. Presentation is adequate.
This is a solo journalling game so naturally won’t be to everyone’s tastes. It’s also rather expensive for what it is at full price, with little real content. It could take some time to play, though, depending on how the prompts are answered, but given nothing changes between games, it probably lacks much in the way of replayability. it ends with YOU can be found by clicking here.
