Instant Goblin Den Adventure Maker by Dave Woodrum is a generic role playing game supplement published by Fishwife Games.
The supplement is available as a nine-page PDF from DriveThruRPG for $2.99 but was purchased at a reduced price during a sale. One page is the front cover and half the front matter.
The introductory paragraphs explain that this is a way of quickly creating a side adventure for a cave full of goblins.
The majority of the supplement is taken up by a series of tables. There are 17 different tables, some of which have two columns, plus three things for rolling coins held as treasure. The group is named, a leader is generated and an adventure hook is rolled. The goblin population is then rolled and there is a table for name generation. Condition can affect the goblins and any beasts they have are rolled, followed by hazards and traps. Primary weapons, armour and garments and special features follow. A short table gives options for non-goblin inhabitants. Captives, debris, special treasures, containers and further adventures are also rolled.
Adventure Maker List is a blank table which is to be filled in with the various results rolled on the tables.
The final three pages of content have three black and white maps of caves, each with a blank space for GM notes.
Goblin Den Adventure Maker in Review
The PDF lacks bookmarks and is short enough that they are not needed. Navigation is fine. The text follows what is primarily a two-column layout and appeared to be free of errors. Bar the cover and maps, there are no illustrations. Presentation is okay.
This is what it sets out to be; a way of randomly rolling a cave full of goblins, though stats will also be needed. It can be used for things other than goblins too, as mentioned; a lot of the material is generic enough. The tables vary in length, but the majority are 1d12. Goblin Den Adventure Maker is a decent little supplement, though more is needed to use it as stats are needed, and it can be found by clicking here.
