Gregorius21778: Salvage-Hunt on Tanandru II is a role playing game supplement written and published by Kai Pütz a.k.a Gregorius21778 for use with Solar Blades & Cosmic Spells. As such, it is covered by the Open Game License and some parts are considered to be Open Game Content as a result. This is an adventure for low level characters.
The supplement is available as a 20-page PDF from DriveThruRPG for $3 but was purchased at a reduced price during a sale. One page is the front cover, one the front matter and one the Open Game License. The PDF comes in two versions, one of which is designed to be more printer friendly. A third PDF is two pages long and is a list of what a shop has for sale. There are also PNG and GIF versions of the landing zone.
The Prologue gives some history of Tanandru II on the borders of the Friaz sector and its, ultimately futile, battle against the Galactic Overlord.
A Hook for a Catch has six different hooks as to how the characters may hear about an abandoned military outpost on Tanandru II in order to plunder it.
On the Way too… has the characters visiting Deszato Station which is where the adventure starts.
Onward to Tanandru: has a d6 table of jump complications and d6 visions for the voyage.
The Tanandru System gives an overview of the system and the enemy forces they will need to deal with, one way or another.
Locating & Landing: is getting down to the planet; crashing would be bad.
Once on the planet, the characters can make their way to the outpost, which is cold and inhabited by a creature of the Void. The different locations have details on loot.
Appendix: Opponents has the creatures to encounter.
On Loot & Loot Dice: is how the characters can benefit from looting the outpost. The only reward the adventure has is Credit Points, and how these can be used is covered.
Gregorius21778: Salvage-Hunt on Tanandru II in Review
The PDF lacks bookmarks and has enough different sections that these would have been useful. Navigation could be better. The text maintains a two-column format and a number of errors were noticed. There are a variety of stock images, plus a custom map. Presentation is decent.
In many ways, this is a classic dungeon crawl adventure. The characters hear about a place to loot, head there and deal with the forces inside whilst trying to take as much treasure away as they can. It’s just that they start off on a space station, travel through space and loot a military bunker. Otherwise, it could be considered a common type of old school dungeon adventure; fitting for an old school SF system. Gregorius21778: Salvage-Hunt on Tanandru II is an interesting little adventure and it can be found by clicking here.
