Faces of the Tarnished Souk: The Ghost-Light that Dreamed, Gozutozawa (PFRPG) by Matt Banach and Justin Sluder is a role playing game supplement published by Rite Publishing for use with the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game. As such, it is covered by the Open Game License and some parts are considered to be Open Game Content as a result. This is a single NPC at three different CRs.
The supplement is available as a 16-page PDF from DriveThruRPG for $2.95 but was purchased at a reduced price as part of a special bundle. One page is the front cover, one the front matter, one the Open Game License and two are ads.
The Ghost-Light that Dreamed, Gozutozawa gives some background on the NPC. Now, this NPC has a secret and a twist and discussing these in any sort of detail would ruin the twist, which would be a genuine shame. The background gives details on them, how they came to be at the Tarnished Souk and what they do. This also covers Dreamburning, lore and how to use the NPC, who will most likely not be encountered as a foe.
As usual, the NPC is covered at CR 8, CR 14 and CR 21. Again, going into more detail would reveal too much about the character.
There are also two new metamagic feats, new magic items, including nine new ioun stones, a new archetype and two new templates, the crafty creature making a being more intelligent and the tough creature making them more resistant to damage.
Faces of the Tarnished Souk: The Ghost-Light that Dreamed, Gozutozawa (PFRPG) in Review
The PDF is decently bookmarked with major and minor sections linked. The text maintains a two-column black and white format and appeared to be free of error. There are a number of illustrations, most of which appear to be stock but the main one appears to be custom. Presentation is decent.
This is a rather interesting NPC and characters will more than likely not realise their true nature for some time, as this is kept hidden. The NPC takes a being and makes it more than a little different from other creatures of its type. Faces of the Tarnished Souk: The Ghost-Light that Dreamed, Gozutozawa (PFRPG) is an interesting take and it can be found by clicking here.
