Dungeon Dressing: Dungeon Entrances 2.0 (P1) by Jeff Erwin and Greg Marks is a role playing game supplement published by Raging Swan Press for use with the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game. As such, it is covered by the Open Game License and some parts are considered to be Open Game Content as a result.
The supplement is available as a 12-page PDF from DriveThruRPG for $3.75 but was purchased at a reduced price as part of a special bundle. Two pages are the front and rear covers, two are ads, one the front matter and Contents and one the Open Game License. The PDF comes in two versions, one intended for print and high-end devices, one intended for low-end and mobile.
Dungeon Entrances looks at entrances, how they can foreshadow the dungeon’s feel and whether the entrance is a death trap.
Major Entrance Features is a d100 table with 16 results that covers the major appearance of the entrance.
Minor Entrance Features & Dressing is a d100 table with 50 results that has more minor ways of dressing the entrance.
Secret Entrances is a d100 table with 20 results that can be used to create a secret entrance.
Dungeon Dressing: Dungeon Entrances 2.0 (P1) in Review
The PDF is bookmarked with the major sections and subsections linked. The Contents is to a similar level of depth and is hyperlinked. Navigation is good. The text maintains a two-column format and appeared to be free of errors. There are some black and white stock illustrations, up to full page in size. Presentation is decent.
Unlike many of the 2.0 redesigns of the original Dungeon Dressing range, there are non-layout differences between this and the previous version of the supplement. The Secret Entrances table is a new one and it replaces three traps from the original one. This also has the effect of making the supplement much more system neutral, as there are far less Pathfinder stats without the traps. The difference isn’t really enough to justify getting this version at full price if either the original or GMs Miscellany: Dungeon Dressing is owned.
