Caverns of Nahoona by Joseph Mohr is a role playing game supplement published by Old School Role Playing for use with Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition. As such, it is covered by the Open Game License and some parts are considered to be Open Game Content as a result.
The supplement is available as a 16 page Pay What Yu Want PDF from DriveThruRPG. One page is the front cover, three the front matter and three the Open Game License.
Background Information explains that goblins have been raiding a village recently and it’s thought they are operating out of some caves.
Dungeon Master Notes explains that the adventure is intended for 1st level characters. It explains that the caves can be found easily if the villagers are asked, that there is no money to hire adventurers, nor armour or weapon shops available in the village and that they can learn of a reward for the goblin chief Nahoona. It also says that, unless stated otherwise, the monsters have the same stats as those in the 5E Monster Manual.
Random Encounters has a d6 table of encounters around the village.
Key to the Caverns of Nahoona covers the caverns themselves. This is a relatively straightforward dungeon crawl, with the main enemies being goblins as well as some associated creatures and only a single fairly minor trap.
The final page of content is a map of the caverns.
Caverns of Nahoona in Review
The PDF lacks bookmarks and, though short, has enough sections that these would have been useful. Navigation is okay. The text maintains a two-column format and appeared to be mostly free of errors. There are a number of stock black and white and colour illustrations. Presentation is okay.
This is a straightforward starter adventure in which the characters enter a goblin complex and clear it out. There aren’t any real complexities in it; just a pretty straightforward series of fights against the enemies in the caverns. Caverns of Nahoona can be found by clicking here.
