Bizhan the Tinker "Dribbles"

A Review of the Role Playing Game Supplement Bizhan the Tinker “Dribbles”

Bizhan the Tinker “Dribbles” by Cliff Dunn is a role playing game supplement published by ZealZaddy for use with Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition. As such, it is covered by the Open Game License and some parts are considered to be Open Game Content as a result.

The supplement is available as a 12 page Pay What You Want PDF from DriveThruRPG. One page is the front cover, one the front matter, one the Contents and one the Open Game License.

Bizhan the Tinker "Dribbles"The first two pages of content are taken up by some links to Free City of Vadashar material, a sidebar, Welcome to the Free City of Vadashar, that is duplicated from other supplements and gives background and history of the city, and some details on using Bizhan in a non-Vadashar or a Vadashar campaign.

Chasing it on the Streets of Vadashar gives an extensive history on Bizhan, a petty criminal, hustler and Lotus addict. Though he had definite talent for mechanics, helping some friends resulted in incarceration as what they were doing was criminal and, to ease the burden inside the city’s notorious Black Kasbah prison, he turned to drugs. After another friend wound up being beaten half to death, Bizhan made a deal with a member of the city’s elite guards to work as an informer. Bizhan still has his natural talent, but his drug addiction is now the root of his problems. Stats are given for both Bizhan and the guard and there are finally three adventure hooks.

Bizhan the Tinker “Dribbles” in Review

The PDF is well bookmarked with major and minor sections linked. The Contents is to a similar level of depth and is hyperlinked. Navigation is good. The text maintains a two-column format and appeared to be free of errors. There are a number of colour stock illustrations. Presentation is good.

This is another very extensively detailed NPC with life history, connections to others and hooks. He may be linked to Vadashar, but using him in another setting shouldn’t be too hard; some background detail will need changing but as the key elements are drugs, prison, guards and crime, this isn’t difficult.
