Antioch Station by Joseph Mohr is a role playing game supplement published by Old School Role Playing for use with Cepheus Engine. As such, it is covered by the Open Game License and some parts are considered to be Open Game Content as a result.
The supplement is available from DriveThruRPG as a 21 page Pay What You Want PDF. Two pages are the front and rear covers, one page is blank, three pages are the front matter and three the Open Game License.
Antioch Station explains that the characters are hired to investigate a research station that has fallen out of contact, giving some background on the owning company and the Sonara Sector, the Frontiers of Space setting.
Game Master Information explains the threats the characters will face, one of them being the station is going to self-destruct, another being that a chemical weapon that was being worked on has leaked, and what actions will gain a monetary reward.
Key to the Antioch Station covers the station itself., which is a substantial facility with several dangers.
Finally, Conditions for Success gives the various rewards for different objectives.
There are four colour maps of the station, one for each of the four levels.
Antioch Station in Review
The PDF lacks bookmarks and is long enough with enough different sections that these would have been useful. Navigation is poor. The text maintains a single column format and some minor errors were noticed. There are a couple of colour stock images as well as the maps. Presentation is okay, although there are no player friendly versions of the maps.
This is a fairly straightforward adventure; travel to a station, deal with some insane crew, avoid the chemical weapon and stop the station from exploding. Straightforward is not the same as easy or safe, and this does have more than a few potentially fatal situations to overcome, with the hazards of the crew, self-destruct and weapon. Antioch Station is a decent and potentially deadly adventure and it can be found by clicking here.
